Was farming or hunting easier in the region of Mesopotamia? Explain.

Answer: Hunting was probably easier.  Farming was far more efficient.

In hunter gatherer societies virtually every able bodied adult is engaged in food production.  In farming communities only a proportion of the population is engaged in food production, leaving the rest free to do stuff like become civilised.
